They say you should lose weight gradually; that you should take your time shedding the pounds. But, I definitely didn’t take my time piling on 3 and a half stone, so I had no intention of taking my time losing it! Especially with summer slowly creeping up…

I spoke about the detox in my previous post (catch up here if you’re yet to read it: Detox: 10lbs, 2 weeks. The secret…) but really how did I get these sort of results…

I will tell you now, about the power of eating clean!
If like me you’ve spent a great deal of your time abusing your body, by shovelling as much processed food in your gut as physically possible, spending your winter huddled on the sofa having an intense relationship with Netflix and bourbon biscuits, and using every excuse under the sun to continue your denial of piling on the pounds and letting your body expand beyond what Primark’s waistband can measure to, then yes – you too need to sort yourself out.

After almost 4 weeks of eating clean, I can honestly say I don’t think I’ll ever go back to bad eating habits again – it really is not worth it.

And, eating clean (going on a diet, undergoing detox…whatever you want to call it!) doesn’t have to be mounds of boring and tasteless food. I don’t pretend to be the John Torode of clean-eating, but I make lunch and dinner taste bloody good!!

Yes, admittedly, eating clean does take a little bit of preparation, and it may  take about 10 minutes longer to prepare than the average wheat-filled sandwich, but it’s adventurous, and nourishing, and beats the bloat!

In terms of exercise…
Obviously PILATES, PILATES, PILATES…whoever says Pilates can’t aid with weight loss has clearly never done it properly!
But as well as Pilates, I’ve been teaching myself a bit of Yoga (which is knackering if you’re just skipping through all the sun salutations and jumping straight into advanced poses!!), and working a few Kettlebell exercises which I managed to scope out on Pinterest.

I have so far managed to hit my 2 stone (28 pounds) weight loss, and planning on continuing my new lifestyle to plough through the next 21 pounds!
